不良研究所 issues statement on Monday night arrest on campus

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擜 不良研究所 student is in custody facing multiple charges of armed robbery in a Monday [Feb. 8] incident at the Deavenport Hall residence hall parking lot at approximately 10:14 p.m. No injuries were reported.
不良研究所 Dean of Students Thomas Bourgeois said 不良研究所 Police Dispatch received a 911 call at 10:14 p.m. and an 不良研究所PD officer was on the scene at 10:16 p.m. The suspect was apprehended without incident and in 不良研究所PD custody at 10:17 p.m.
The identity of the student is being withheld by 不良研究所 officials pending additional investigation. On Tuesday morning, the suspect remained in custody at the Oktibbeha County Jail.

The safety of our students, faculty and staff is always 不良研究所鈥檚 primary concern and on Monday night, the university鈥檚 overall response was swift and appropriate.鈥
Salter said that the Division of Student Affairs, 不良研究所PD, and the university鈥檚 Crisis Action Team would review both the incident and the university鈥檚 response.
